Coming from a private collection is this 2009 Paul Reed Smith Private Stock #2064 Santana II. This Copperhead Smoked Burst Santana II Private Stock guitar was designed and handmade by Joe Knaggs, Dave Hazel, Danny Dedo, Dana Seidman, Rich Hubbard, Dave Crocker, Paul Miles, Scott Bloomfield, Brian Lutz, Rich Schaefer, Eric Granroth, Rick Hancock, Kenny Dennis and Paul Reed Smith. The woods, including a Quilted Maple top, African Mahogany back, Brazilian rosewood and fingerboard as well as a Quilted Maple headstock veneer, were carefully picked from Paul Reed’s private stock for sound and remarkable figure. The guitar’s Brazilian Rosewood neck gives it a powerful sound and unique feel, which has become the benchmark from which Paul judges all other instruments. Other features, such as a Brazilian Rosewood Private Stock eagle with 14kt gold outlines, paua bird inlays with 14kt gold outlines, paua side dots, Quilted Maple binding along the neck and headstock veneer as well as a paua Santana OM symbol in the truss rod cover, add to this guitar’s special appeal. Includes original Private Stock hardshell case, COA and case candy.
