Dismal Ax Guitars Road Dog X ser#1513
Road Dog
Love it or hate it, the internal combustion engine has earned a special place in the hallowed halls of Americana. The golden age of the automobile brought new freedom of movement, and left behind a massive carbon skidmark, along with a nearly endless trail of discarded license plates. The latter of these legacies, reworked into pickguards, become the main visual feature of the Road Dog guitars and basses. In addition to a splash of color, these plates can add a very literal sense of time and place, offering ample opportunity for personal customization.
This Dismal Ax Road Dog X is built from salvaged woods and powered by Dismal Ax Homespun Alnico 5 pickups. Features a 1964 Tennessee License Plate pickguard and finished in a distressed, Blue/Green Milk Paint, Shellac with Waterborne varnish. Weighs 7lbs 1oz. Includes COA and hardshell case.
