Knaggs Guitars Kenai Eric Steckel T/S “Ebony” Limited Edition

Here is a Knaggs Guitars Kenai Eric Steckel T/S “Ebony” Limited Edition #2 of 11. After the successful run of the Knaggs Kenai T/S “Candy” in 2019, Knaggs are excited to announce a new limited run of 11 Kenai T/S called “Ebony”, their take on the classic ’57 Black Beauty.

ES Kenai T/S, Mahogany body with Maple top finished in gloss relic Black, BWBWB purfling over aged Creme body, aged Creme fingerboard and headstock binding, Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard with block inlays, Ebony headstock veneer with Modern Morning Star, worn Gold Hardware, aged Kluson tuners and 3 Seymour Duncan Candy humbuckers. This limited run will have ‘Ebony’ on truss rod cover and will be numbered 1-11 after T/S sequential serial # on back of headstock, which is signed by Joe Knaggs. Backplate is signed by Eric Steckel.

The Knaggs Kenai T/S Eric Steckel’s signature guitar features a thicker Mahogany body than the standard model Kenai, a Curly Maple carved top with an optional Curly Maple back. Other features include a custom T/S neck carve similar to a fat ’59 shape, Mahogany neck, Macassar Ebony or East Indian Rosewood fretboard with Morning Star inlays, Seymour Duncan pickups, Kluson Revolution tuners, and a TonePros bridge.

Eric Steckel: “The Kenai shape was always gorgeous in my eyes, I loved the lines of it and of course the beautiful headstock shape. Peter Wolf and I started swapping ideas back and forth and the idea of a really thick Kenai with almost no back carve and a super fat 59 style neck was introduced. I loved the sound of this and then we got deeper into the specs and really created a monster of an axe that only weighs around 8 pounds but sounds like the fattest singlecut guitar ever made.”
